The Graduate School of Medicine (GSM) aims to engage, partner with and respond to workforce and health needs of our local, regional and rural communities. We will listen to and build reciprocal relationships with Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Peoples. Our purpose is to improve health and wellbeing through best practice medical education and meaningful research.
We are seeking a Research Officer to contribute to the research effort of the Graduate School of Medicine through the provision of high-quality research support to the externally funded multi-agency project “The Optimal Implementation of Antimicrobial Stewardship in General Practice study” (OPTIMAS-GP). The OPTIMAS-GP study is co-designed with consumers and doctors to safely reduce antibiotic prescriptions for respiratory tract infections, with sustainability of the activities a key goal.
In this role you will provide research support to the project team, including managing data quality, storage and access as well as supporting the trial co-ordinator with recruitment, onboarding and troubleshooting at trial sites. You will also have an opportunity to contribute research project materials as required.
To be successful you will be suitably qualified or have an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training. Your demonstrated qualitative research expertise and capacity to forward plan and prioritise tasks in a busy environment is essential as well as an ability to communicate information effectively to a wider audience. Your previous involvement in producing high quality reports and experience in working in a research-related team environment will be highly regarded.
