Telecommunications Technical Officer

Initially providing large scale Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning mechanical services, HVAC expanded their business to offer custom solutions on a wide variety of engineering & fabrication needs.
HVAC's expansion adapted to Australian industry needs and expanded its services across five main sectors with a purpose-built manufacturing facility and professional design and project management teams. The sectors include specialised fabrication, mechanical services and air-conditioning services, industrial ventilation, the fabrication of specialised pipe fittings for large scale water infrastructure projects and telecommunications infrastructure.
HVAC is seeking TELECOMMUNICATIONS TECHNICAL OFFICER to join their team of professionals in a fulltime and permanent basis.
Job Location: Redbank Queensland
To be considered for this role you will possess the following:
**Qualifications**:
- Hold current Industry High Risk work License in Working at Heights.
- Elevated Work platform License.
- Knowledge of the Telecommunications Technical installation methods and practice.
- Sound knowledge of the structural erection practices of monopoles, towers and guyed masts.
- Good knowledge of HVAC systems and business principles.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of all field test equipment including Load Cells, Theodolites,
- Laser levels, Anritsu Site Master, PIM Testing, Fibre testing devices and programmes required for Accessing Telecommunications products within Telco Sites.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Telecommunications Cabler, Linesman or Technician position.

- Interpersonal skills including well developed written and verbal communication skill and report writing.
- The ability to analyse data and present it in timely and useful reports.
- Ability to comprehend and interpret complex technical concepts relating to the installation and commissioning of mobile base stations.
- Possession of good personal tact, discretion, judgment and ability to effectively communicate with staff, supervisors, project managers and the various groups/stakeholders interfacing with HVAC QLD Pty Ltd.
- Willingness to be customer focused is essential in this business area having short lead times and aggressive timeframes.
**Responsibilities & Duties**
Your responsibilities and duties will include but not be limited to the following;
- Familiarise oneself with the Installation requirements and standards required by each customer and their associated equipment manuals.
- Ensure installation activities maintain network and structural integrity.
- Be familiar with project budget and timeline requirements.
- Work under direction from the Team Leader to ensure a safe, efficient, and high standard of work.
- Be able to work with limited supervision to ensure a safe, efficient, and high standard of work.
- Help create project handover documents that meet the quality requirements relating to your installation work as required.
- Complete day to day tasks as required.
- Provide junior staff with on-site training and development.
- Adhere to all Safety Managements Plans in place and lead others to do the same.
- Help promote a culture on-site that motivates and encourages the team to perform safely and effectively.
- Request development and training to meet new technology and project requirements.
- Partake in continual training, both company provided, and self-initiated to stay up to date with technology advances and development.
- Strictly adhere to processes and practices under HVAC’s document control system in all work performed, participate in quality audit and quality improvement activities as required and adopt a quality focus in all work activities undertaken
- Understudy the Team Leader and for fill their duties from time to time.
**Salary**: $41-$45/Hr Full Time + Super
