**About IT at TfNSW**

TfNSW’s IT group provides the tools, information and services that enable 30,000 employees to deliver a smart and efficient transport network. Strategy & Transformation: drives IT for Transport towards the Future Transport 2056. Provides the overarching strategy, the architecture required to deliver it, and then actually delivers it via common technology platforms.

**The opportunity**

Right now, we have a Fixed Term Full-Time opportunity, initially till 30th March 2024 for a Release Manager to join the Platform Services Management team.

The role will support the creation of the forward release schedules and release configurations and assist with the movement of releases into production environments. The role will ensure that frameworks, policies and processes that support the structured release and deployment of approved releases are aligned, and provide support with planning, reporting and analysis of release packages, scheduling and risks.

**What you will be involved in**:

- Co-ordinate release go-live activities including the execution of deployment plans and checklists, and support the communication of release status, progress, issues and risks. Maintain relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations including interfacing and communicating with Test Managers, Development Managers, Service Portfolios, the Enterprise PMO and third party suppliers on a daily basis. Generate reporting for communication to senior management in Group IT and communicate release details and schedules across Group IT and Transport agencies as required.
- Assist with the identification and escalation of risks and resolution of issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality. Monitor and report on progress to ensure releases are delivered on time and within budget, and that they meet or exceed expectations. Support release readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and go/no-go reviews, assist with the preparation of materials for Change Advisory Board meetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocks, and support post release reviews.

**About you**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or demonstrated relevant, equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in leading Service Management functions, provided by both internal and external service providers, with a successful track record for developing strong partnership-style relationships that result in improved performance.
- Experience developing operational and management-level Service Reporting (adhoc and regular).
- Track record of leading or participating in effective governance frameworks, delivering positive customer outcomes.
- Strong familiarity with ITSM toolsets, and ability to effect changes to deliver process improvements.

**Salary and Benefits**

The salary for this position is TfNSW Grade 9 ($142,178 - $159,238) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
