**About the Early Childhood Outcomes Division**

Within the NSW Department of Education, the Early Childhood Outcomes Division leads the implementation of the Early Years Reforms.

**About the role**

We are looking for a Programs Officer to join a small strategic projects team that designs, coordinates, and delivers a range of projects to support uplift in capability across the Commissioning Directorate and broader Early Childhood Outcomes Division.
You will work collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholder to design, scale-up and implement projects to improve outcomes for our littlest learners. You will be able to bring your policy, project management, program delivery, stakeholder engagement and change management expertise to drive delivery across NSW.

**About you**

As our
**Programs Officer** you will need the following:

- experience in project or program design and/or management
- experience in finance or contract management is highly desirable but not essential
- advanced interpersonal skills including a proven ability to motivate, influence, persuade and negotiate with stakeholders
- excellent communication skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver well written reports, briefings and presentations on projects to a variety of audiences
- experience in managing complex and sensitive issues
- relevant experience working in a large or complex organisation

**Essential requirements of the role**
- A valid Working with Children Check for paid employment
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, or demonstrated equivalent knowledge and/or experience
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education

**Key knowledge and experience**
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
