The FinOps team
** **embodies “Run” and “Optimise” for our customers, covering service responsibilities to deliver all aspects of Cloud commercial optimisation across public cloud providers. As the leader of this emerging practice, you will collaborate with Senior Leadership to build Australia’s most expert FinOps team.
- This is a very exciting role to work in a niche, growing area Cloud FinOps in a predominantly AWS environment with ASX listed organisations and public sector entities.
- This role will suit someone with strong knowledge of AWS services, cloud cost optimisation and will have experience in CloudHealth or a similar cost monitoring tool. You will be proactively managing costs around our customer cloud environments, working with a number of technical teams to optimise cloud consumption and improve governance.
- This is not a hands on engineering role, however good knowledge of AWS is preferred.

**The skills and experience we are looking for**:

- Navigating, cleansing, and integrating data to maintain an accurate self-service cost reporting platform
- Development of cost reporting dashboards using cloud cost management tools such as CloudHealth, Cloudability, PowerBI
- General cost management practices: budgeting, cost forecasting and tracking
- Cloud cost management capabilities and pricing models (i.e. capacity planning, rightsizing, tagging) or cloud cost optimisation tools (i.e. Cloudability, CloudHealth)
- A bias toward automated processes. An aversion to manual processes and workarounds.
- Build knowledge of cloud spend analysis to derive insights
- Deep analytical, critical thinking and quantitative skills
- AWS Cloud Practitioner certification or FinOps certification would be beneficial, however we will pay for you to achieve these if not.

**Some of our perks**:

- Excellent career growth opportunities
- Social club
- Impact innovation days
- Counselling and support sessions for you and your family
