**About the role**
The Leader, Exam Production is responsible for managing the technical production of examination materials, including examinations in print and for the web, while ensuring the integrity and security of data held within a secure network.
In a high security environment, this role involves coordinating people, material, and systems for complex projects, ensuring critical deadlines are met. This includes establishing and monitoring procedures to maintain high technical standards for examination and testing materials, as well as up-to-date software and hardware. Additionally, the position involves planning procedures and systems to support teams using various software packages, managing the production of print and sound materials, and providing technical advice. Identifying training needs and promoting professional development opportunities for officers to stay updated on ICT developments is also part of the responsibilities. The role requires providing technical support and liaising with examination committees and assessment officers for examination production requirements. Furthermore, as a member of the leadership team, the person contributes to the planning and operation of the Unit, advising on production strategies and technology usage while ensuring compliance with information security requirements.
- Sound knowledge of Adobe suite print production tools (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat) advanced HTML and CSS
- Expertise in the preparation and production of web-based image, video and sound resources
- Ability to liaise with a variety of agencies in the production of print, web-based and sound materials
