Role Description

The Workforce Planner will be responsible to assist this agency to monitor the organisation’s business strategy to make sure it employs enough workers with the right skills at the right time, including all phases of the talent management processes within the organisation, from forecasting to recruiting to skills development.

Additionally, the Workforce Planner will be responsible for Identifying and providing guidance to managers regarding: issues and gaps in resourcing, incorporating business as usual (BAU) and strategic initiatives in planning and resourcing activities and supporting ongoing operational efficiencies and improvements.
- Major Responsibilities include:
- Assess the current state of the workforce, proactively engage with teams to develop an understanding of business strategies and programs of work.
- Identify the workforce required for current and future activities, providing high level advice and support on all workforce planning matters.
- Contribute to activities for planning, requirements analysis, and implementation by adopting/ developing/implementing an industry standard skills and capabilities framework.
- Develop plans to close gaps between current state and future state using actions such as; external recruitment, internal development, re-skilling, sourcing external partners, organisational design, outplacement.
- Provide advice and support on practices to align recruitment, learning, promotion and recognition and reward to support the development of an inclusive and diverse workforce.
- Provide advice regarding the creation of an integrated database tracking tools for staffing shrinkage patterns to optimise resourcing forecasts.
- Support the consistent achievement of individual and team key performance indicators (KPIs) through effective workforce planning and resource scheduling.
- Develop and contribute to workforce planning documentation.
- Create detailed reports for executive staff.
