**Position Overview**:
IHM is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader for the position of Academic Dean. As the Academic Dean, you will play a crucial role in advancing the IHM's mission by providing strategic leadership, fostering academic excellence, and promoting a culture of innovation in teaching and research. You will be responsible for overseeing the academic programs, faculty development, and ensuring the highest standards of educational quality and integrity.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Academic Leadership**:

- Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for academic affairs.
- Collaborate with other university leaders to develop and implement academic goals and objectives.
- Ensure alignment of academic programs with the IHM’s mission and educational standards.
- Promote and support innovation in teaching, learning, and research.

**Curriculum Development and Assessment**:

- Oversee the development, review, and enhancement of academic programs and curriculum.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accreditation and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with faculty and academic departments to promote interdisciplinary approaches and program development.
- Lead efforts to assess and improve the quality and effectiveness of teaching and learning.

**Faculty Development and Support**:

- Provide leadership and support to faculty members in their professional development.
- Foster a culture of excellence in teaching, research, and scholarship.
- Facilitate faculty recruitment, retention, and mentoring programs.

**Academic Policies and Procedures**:

- Develop and implement academic policies and procedures in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with university policies, regulations, and external requirements.
- Maintain and update academic program documentation, including catalogues, handbooks, and academic calendars.

**External Relations**:

- Represent the IHM in academic and professional forums.
- Collaborate with external partners, industry, and professional organisation's to enhance academic programs.
- Build relationships with relevant government agencies accrediting bodies, and educational institutions (such as TEQSA, AASW, etc),
- Promote the IHM’s academic programs and achievements to external stakeholders.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- A doctoral degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution.
- A distinguished academic record with a strong research and publication track record.
- Familiarity with accreditation processes and regulatory requirements in the Australian higher education sector.
- Significant experience in academic leadership roles, preferably as a department chair, dean, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to provide strategic direction and lead academic programs and faculty development initiatives.
- A deep understanding of current trends and challenges in higher education, including online and blended learning, experiential education, and student
- centred pedagogies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders.
- A commitment to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in academia.

**Salary**: $170,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year
