**About the Role**
The ITS Technical Project Specialist is within Intelligent Transport Systems - ITS Systems and is responsible for delivering ITS/ICT projects within the group. This role will work in a team of ICT professionals with expertise in ensuring the Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) backend Servers and Storage infrastructure are operating optimally and securely.
ITS Systems function consist of:
- ITS Operations
- ITS Design and Integration
- ITS Project Delivery
As part of the Project Delivery team you will be leading projects/initiatives related to ITS Systems. This diverse position will see you juggle multiple priorities at once.

**Position Outcomes / Accountabilities**
- Exercise specialist ITS infrastructure and integration skills to research, analyse, develop, document, integrate and implement innovative ICT or ITS solutions for projects involved.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and business users to document/elicit business requirements and translate business requirements to technical requirements and solutions. This also includes liaising with internal technical staff and external service providers to manage and deliver on ICT and/or Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) projects, in accordance with the projects’ scope and timelines.
- Lead the Intelligent Transport System (ITS) project development and delivery activities including business case development, project scoping, design investigation and development, obtaining approvals, stakeholder engagement and liaison, contract administration and financial management of the projects.
- Develop innovative responses to complex problems across various technology related products and services where defined policy, procedures and precedents may not exist and work closely with other members of the Technical Services team to ensure solutions are effectively implemented and documented.
- provide specialist technical advice that is relied upon and understood by a wide range of stakeholders. Engage with stakeholders to effectively engage, negotiate, and influence positive ICT and/or ITS outcomes.
- Successfully cultivate a team environment where ICT and/or ITS knowledge and techniques are applied, promoted, and shared while exercising judgement in evaluating and implementing improvement ideas and suggestions aligned to departmental values.

**Qualifications and Experience**
**Mandatory**
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in ICT.
- At least 5+ year experience relevant to the capabilities of the role.
**Desirable**
- Foundation ITIL V4 certification.
- Relevant Project Management experience or certification. (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile PM, etc.)
