C-ITS Specialist

1 year contract position

Port Melbourne location with WFH flexible work arrangements

The resource for this role is primarily responsible for supporting the design and development of Lexus Australia's C-ITS projects, running the systems in real-time in Melbourne streets' real-world environment and providing complex technical advice to ensure project delivery to schedule. Additionally, this role coordinates cross-divisional working groups and liaises with industry, government and regulatory bodies, as well as writes publications, presents the technology in various forums and demonstrates the C-ITS's benefits to the industry stakeholders using Lexus C-ITS vehicles (Lexus RX 450h).

Experience required for the role:

- Degree qualification in engineering, IT or equivalent experience
- 5+ years’ accumulative experience
- Product / project management knowledge with ability to work with cross-domain stakeholders
- Understanding of Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems/ Advanced Driver Assistance Systems / Multimedia
- Strong understanding of system architecture of complex system / system of systems (SoS)
- Software developer - able to code algorithms on one or more platforms (Linux/Windows/Mobile Device)
- Version control, configuration management, cross-platform system integration and evaluation experience
- Australian driver’s licence (full)
- Flexibility with can do attitude, willing to work on hands-on and administrative activities related to the project work

Desirable experience:

- Network architecture: 3G/4G network configuration, vehicle network knowledge (ECU/CAN)
- Hardware knowledge (mechanical / electrical / regulations)
- Data science, database management, server based or cloud based storage solutions, security, UX design
