**The Role**
Commercial Division are looking to fill vacant APS6 positions within the Commercial Support and Commercial Policy teams with individuals who want to work on a range of challenging and rewarding activities, and will be responsible for:

- developing and/or implementing policy that is consistent with legislation and Commonwealth policies, guidance and processes;
- providing timely and accurate commercial and/or procurement policy advice on complex issues tailored to meet stakeholder needs;
- proactively identifying areas to improve procurement policy, practice, guidance and processes, and demonstrate the benefits and rationale for change; and
- building and sustaining productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and actively participating in team and group activities to deliver agreed outcomes.

The additional payment is a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP) which enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the rate of salary otherwise payable under the Enterprise Agreement (EA) to some or all of the jobs within a critical occupation(s) or discipline within a workplace.

**About our Team**
The Commercial Support (CS) team provides first level support to customers seeking procurement and contracting assistance. They engage across Defence and externally, to educate and improve end users’ procurement knowledge and practice, ultimately delivering better outcomes for the Department of Defence. They work closely with procurement related forms and systems. They also assist with the development and management of internally and externally facing web content and standing operating procedures; creating and/or peer reviewing content produced by other agencies or the CS team; and records management.

The Commercial Policy Team owns and manages Defence’s procurement and contracting policy, processes, templates, guidance and commercial capability development. They support Defence in managing and continuously improving the Defence Commercial Framework, products, commercial policy processes and workforce capability. They also provide high level strategic commercial policy advice to a range of stakeholders and work with other Government agencies to develop whole-of-government procurement policies.
