**About the team**:
The team behind business.gov.au are looking for a digital content designer with outstanding communication, written and analytical skills to join the team.

The business.gov.au website connects Australian business owners to information, grants and support from all levels of government. The website is one of the most visited websites operated by the Commonwealth Government.

The business.gov.au Content Team is responsible for writing, editing and managing business related content, events, and grant opportunities on the business.gov.au website, newsletter and social media channels.

We’re looking for someone who:

- is a motivated and reliable individual with a passion for delivering excellent content
- is not afraid to share ideas and work collaboratively with the team and stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes
- has the capability, motivation and good judgement to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines
- has experience researching, writing and editing digital content for websites and social media channels in accordance with the Australian Government Style Manual
- has strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to adapt online and written content based on medium and audience
- understands how to monitor and moderate social media channels and troubleshoot, resolve or escalate issues as appropriate
- has experience publishing content using content and social media management systems
- can engage with relevant internal and external stakeholders to create and improve content
- can analyse data and make recommendations to improve content and audience growth on the digital channels.

Desirable:

- Familiarity with Australian Government Style Manual and accessibility requirements.
- Familiarity with, or previous experience using Sitecore, Google Analytics and Sprout Social.

**What you will do**:
As a content writer, you will plan and implement engaging content for the business.gov.au digital channels including the website, social media and newsletter.

In this role you will be responsible for:

- Researching, writing and editing digital content for the business.gov.au website, newsletter and social media channels, in accordance with the Australian Government Style Manual
- Adapting online and written content based on medium and audience as needed
- Publishing content using content and social media management systems
- Monitoring and moderating social media channels and troubleshooting, resolving or escalating issues as appropriate
- Engaging with relevant internal and external stakeholders to create and improve content
- Generating reports and analysing data on business.gov.au published content, in order to improve content and audience growth on our digital channels.
