The Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC) is Australia’s national criminal intelligence agency. We advise senior decision makers on serious and organised crime impacting Australia. **About the branch**
The Capability Support Branch maintains relationships with our partner agencies and works with internal stakeholders to support the delivery of policing, intelligence and corporate information services to meet their business needs. Through effective relationships with stakeholders, the branch delivers service improvement initiatives, and assist partner agencies in making informed strategic decisions and championing initiatives which improve our policing, intelligence and corporate information services.
The Capability Support Branch contributes to ACIC strategic and planned activities through the following business hubs:
- National Policing Information Capability
- Intelligence
- Corporate
- Strategy and Design
- National Police Checking Service Modernisation
**About the role**
The Assistant Director coordinates, guides and supports clients and internal stakeholders on business services, projects, initiatives and systems to sustain service delivery.
The purpose of the Assistant Director position is to deliver business services to our partner agency and internal stakeholders through connection and collaboration with end users, business and technology. This position is required to effectively engage and actively liaise to confirm business requirements, capabilities and supporting services required to deliver on their business outcomes.
- Will have well-developed stakeholder management and liaison skills including the ability to represent ACIC to external stakeholders to identify and manage expectations and business requirements (preferably within a public sector and/or Australian law enforcement context).
- Has exceptional written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders, handle general and technical enquiries, and negotiate outcomes with difficult clients.
- Demonstrates experience in delivering business reform, liaising directly with programs and/or projects to ensure stakeholder needs are met through the delivery of new and enhanced business and/ or technology services.
- Demonstrates ability to think strategically and inform decision-making at senior levels, to improve business operations in alignment with agency goals.
**Eligibility**
