**Remuneration**: Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $ 101,947 to $ 112,849 plus super and leave loading
**Location**: Parramatta with Flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement, including work from home options (35-hour week)

**About Professional and Ethical Standards Directorate**

Child protection and employee conduct is at the heart of what we do in the Professional and Ethical Standards Directorate. We respond to and investigate child protection and misconduct allegations involving our employees. We also administer staff performance and improvement programs.

**About You/ Role**

Are you a skilled investigator looking for a challenging and rewarding role? We are currently building a talent pool for future temporary and ongoing positions in the Professional and Ethical Standards (PES) Directorate. As an Investigator, you will play a crucial role in responding to allegations of misconduct and ensuring ethical standards are upheld within our organisation.

**Essential requirements of the role**
- Hold a valid clearance to work with children (Working with Children Check) for paid employment.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education

**Key knowledge and experience**
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
- High level skills and experience in conducting investigations.
- The skills to implement child protection policies and practices.

- Describe a complex investigation when you have conducted challenging interviews with children or vulnerable people. What made this investigation complex? How did you elicit information from the child or vulnerable person? What was the overall outcome of the investigation, including what you your personal involvement achieved?
- Tell us about an investigation you have been involved in or led, that does not relate to child protection. How did you conduct this investigation? What are the similarities and differences between child protection and non child protection investigations?

This is a child-related role. As a condition of employment you will be required to provide a Working with Children Check (WWCC) Clearance number and complete a National Criminal Record Check. Visit the website for more information.
