Lime Recruitment is currently working with a large Queensland government department to recruit a Procurement and Contracts officer contract to 03/07/2024 based in the Brisbane CBD and working from home.

As the Procurement and Contracts officer, you will undertake activities relating to ICT Contractor engagement and General Goods and Services procurement activities to meet the needs of the Office of Industrial Relations. This role is a transactional procurement role that undertakes a range of procurement activities of varying complexity, risk and value.

**In this role you will**:

- Prepare briefing notes for approval by senior and executive level management;
- Prepare IT related procurement and evaluation plans;
- Prepare general goods and services procurement and evaluation plans;
- Prepare tender (Request for Quote (RFQ) or Invitation to Offer (ITO)) documentation and associated attachments;
- Assist business units in understanding the procurement process within, including setting expectations and timeframes;
- Assist stakeholders with writing specifications;
- Assist the business in undertaking both complex and non-complex low value procurement activities;
- Guide and assist evaluation panels throughout the offer assessment and contract negotiation processes in accordance with departmental policies;
- Finalise evaluation reports and manage contract executions;
- Records management using SharePoint and Share drive;
- Liaise with the shared service provider, QSS, to resolve purchase order and vendor discrepancies;
- Prepare purchase requisitions and amendments for processing by QSS;
- Liaise with the Finance and Budgeting teams for ad-hoc day to day procurement questions that may arise.

**You will have**:

- Experience in undertaking transactional procurement activities;
- Previous Queensland Government procurement experience is highly desirable, however other State Government procurement experience would also be considered.
- High level of communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience in the use of SAP financial system;
- Experience in Queensland Government General and ICT Procurement;
- Experience in developing Queensland Government contracts and tenders, including associated documentation;
- Demonstrated experience in the use of SharePoint 2013 and Online;
- Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines; and
- Organisational and time management skills.
