**The Role**
The Environmental Division operates a modern laboratory in **Brisbane (Stafford)** that is equipped with the latest in analytical technology. We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician to become a part of a team that strives to exceed client expectations by delivering quality results on time and by maintaining strong relationships with their clients. This opportunity is a **full-time afternoon shift (2.15pm to 10.15pm)** position working within our Inorganics department. **The day to day**
- Preparation and analysis of soil, water, and sediment - weighing, digesting, titrating, or solvent extraction of samples
- Ensuring that preparation and analytical procedures and associated tasks are conducted in accordance with ALS Quality Work Instructions
- Organising designated tasks to maximise daily efficiencies
- Completing all tasks within both the timeframe set by the Supervisor and the relevant analysis standard
- Highlighting anomalies in results and sample type/behaviour

**The Essentials**
- A genuine interest in the Science industry
- Either TAFE or University qualifications desirable but not essential
- A desire to work in a high-throughput, client-focused environment, with preference given to those with previous commercial laboratory experience
- A keen interest or personal hobby in computer building, circuitry, Excel macros and/or 3D printing would be advantageous
- Coding or programming skills would be desirable but not essential
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational and time management skills
- Dedication to good laboratory practices with regard to quality of results and health and safety
- Flexibility to work public holidays and weekend shifts if required
- Willingness to be cross trained in other sections of the laboratory
- Dedication to go the extra mile, be solutions driven and ensure there is no compromise on quality
