A completed Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university and/or 2+ years demonstrated leadership experience at Amazon.

We are seeking an Area Manager for our Fulfilment Centre in Western Sydney (Kemps Creek, NSW 2178).
As an Area Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead and develop your own team of Amazon Associates. One of your main focuses will be motivating, mentoring, and coaching your team. You will be responsible for engaging your team during a shift to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance performance and engagement are maintained. To achieve this, managers are expected to provide their associates with the tools needed for success as well as keenly drive productivity and efficiency through data-driven decisions and analytical problem-solving.
Please note the shift pattern is based on 4 days on and 3 days off so flexibility is a must for this role as the site operates across 7 days during the day and night.
Key areas that you’ll always focus on are the safety, quality, customer experience, and productivity of your area. Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining Health and Safety standards within your remit area, while promoting an inspiring Health and Safety culture on-site.
- Coach, manage, and develop a team of 100-200 Amazon associates. Create, manage, and support recognition programs for your team.
- Communicating policies to associates and act as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance and consistency and taking corrective action when needed
- Partner with the management team to establish and maintain quality control standards.
- Develop performance goals and targets to achieve customer demand and ensure accuracy and quality. Identify and direct process improvement initiatives and effectively utilize Lean tools.

- Building and executing productivity plans by reviewing work forecasts, determining productivity requirements, and partnering with other Area Managers to balance labour.
- Ensure procedures are followed for building security and product loss prevention.
The salary expectation for this role is AUD80,0000 - AUD100,000 plus superannuation.

- You have over 3 years of management experience in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment.
- You are leader and exhibit that in you every day work. You not only have experience in managing a team of 50+ employees, you also lead process improvements though Lean processes.
- Adapt at the ability to motivate others in a deadline-focused environment.
- Ability to evaluate and dive deep into data to provide thought-provoking, workable business solutions.
- Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results through projects to help your team achieve goals.
- You don’t hesitate in public speaking or writing a paper. You have strong verbal and written communication skills.
