Your new team:
Orygen Specialist Program (OSP), a program of Melbourne Health, provides mental health services to young people aged 15-25 and their families/carers in Melbourne's northwest and western suburbs.
The Custodial Forensic Youth Mental Health Service (FYMHS) team provides specialist youth mental health care in custodial settings including the Parkville and Malmsbury sites.
Your new role:
A key leadership role within Custodial FYMHS and broader OSP and will suit a NP with experience in Mental Health and/or AOD service delivery, especially amongst the younger population, or a NP looking to build on their existing clinical experience. In this role you will:

- Develop and implement the model of care to reduce the current service gaps
- Develop the integration of research, education, clinical practice, leadership and supervision across the service and wider OSP
- Work in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to provide training, and primary and secondary consultation of young people with complex physical health needs
- Provision of training and secondary consultation to develop capabilities of YJP, primary health and FYMHS staff working with young people and their families/carers from Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander, CALD and LGBTQIA backgrounds

About you:

- Qualified and endorsed with The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a nurse practitioner
- Knowledge and demonstrated skills in the principles and practice of working with mental health patients with addiction/AOD issues
- Experience developing and delivering training programs that upskill health workers
- Experience in reviewing and developing policies, evaluating risk and quality improvement, clinical research, and knowledge translation
