An exciting fixed-term opportunity exists to act in the Mental Health, Wellbeing & Leadership Development Officer role for 12 months. The role sits in the Youth Engagement & Pathway Unit and reports to the Mental Health & Leadership Team Leader.

**About our Mental Health, Wellbeing and Leadership Development Officer role at Hume**

The role is responsible for leading the planning and delivering of programs, and supports our Sunbury and Craigieburn Regional Team based out of Sunbury and Craigieburn Youth Centres and schools. In addition, the role is responsible for managing a small team, driving the activation of the two youth centres, centre budgets and operations, as well as building local stakeholder partnerships.

**You are**

Enthusiastic, self-motivated, dynamic, adaptable, and an experienced staff member who can continue to managing the regional team and lead the delivery and activation of centre and school based programs in these areas.
- Your expertise will include:

- Tertiary qualifications in family, youth and /or community services with subsequent relevant experience or other formal qualifications with substantial relevant experience
- Experience in developing and delivering programs and initiatives for children and young people that respond to identified needs
- Effective staff leadership with an emphasis on outcomes, quality, continuous improvement, staff development and building a culture of high performance
- A proven ability to manage, motivate and develop staff and to manage behaviour and positive change in work practice.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage complex and competing priorities
