About you

**The Assistant Governance Officer is responsible for**:

- Assisting, in liaison with the Queensland Police Service (QPS), in matters relating to the performance of the Police Service Reviews function.
- Co-ordinating and preparing corporate governance information, including agency performance, risk management and compliance reports.
- Providing support to governance committees.
- Collating and reviewing CCC corporate plans and reports, including briefing papers.
- Providing advice and assistance in relation to the CCC's policy framework and delegations
- Providing support to business units in governance, risk and compliance management.

The ideal applicant will demonstrate capability in the following requirements:

- Proven capacity in providing administrative or secretariat support to committees and/or senior executives, whilst maintaining confidentiality, tact, discretion and sound judgement.
- Knowledge of, or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of, the operations of the CCC and legislation relevant to the role.
- The ability to work independently, set priorities and meet deadlines while undertaking diverse duties.
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills including the ability to liaise and consult effectively with officers of the Commission and the QPS.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and experience with an electronic document and records management system and GRC.
