We are currently recruiting for a Regional Stores Officer in Cooma for a temporary 12 month position.

We are currently recruiting for a Regional Stores Officer in Cooma. This position will be temporary for a 12 month period.

**About the role**

The Regional Stores Officer will be required to account for the day to day stores operations and be responsible for the safe and secure handling of stores and materials within the regional stores environment. The Officer is responsible for supporting the Regional Services Manager and Materials Manager to achieving a common goal of successfully delivering on the W&D objectives and targets. The role is responsible for ensuring that standard procedures and work practices are implemented with the ultimate goal of delivering on value and service to the business.

**About You**
- Work with the Materials Manager to implement process improvement strategies, delivering cost effective outcomes in standard best practice procedures and processes to effectively deliver productivity improvement
- Carry out stock counts on designated high value strategic items in a timely manner and in accordance with agreed schedules
- Provide an emergency service to customers to ensure their materials requirements are met quickly and safely
- Monitor the level of inventory kept in the tier 2 and tier 3 Stores so that inventory is managed efficiently and consistently, ensuring that overstocking does not occur

**Required Qualifications**
- Certificate III in Warehousing Operations or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications
- Driver Licence
- Forklift Licence Desirable
- Heavy Rigid Truck Licence
