**The Team**

You will join a group of highly committed and collaborative professionals in the South Australian State Office. The branch sits within the Service Delivery Division and supports the work of South Australia in the administration of matters relating to corporate, governance and election readiness functions.

You will be working closely with the State Manager, Director and Assistant Directors in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

**The Opportunity**

We are seeking a Branch Project Officer who provides Executive Support to the State Leadership Team in South Australia and is responsible for the provision of proactive and high-quality professional support to the State Manager and Director Operations.

The position is also responsible for providing high-level project support across the branch as requested. This includes the execution and delivery of day-to-day operational activities for allocated Projects, executing the directed scope within the framework provided and escalating risks and issues accordingly.

This role is not technically based and is focused on the business implementation and overall delivery of branch executive outcomes however Federal/state election knowledge would be highly regarded.

To excel you’ll have:

- Exceptional organisational and communication skills to proactively manage daily workflow and competing requests, ensuring clear, timely and effective co-ordination.
- Demonstrate sound judgement and show a high degree of initiative, integrity and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive business matters whilst achieving results within legislative and policy parameters.
- Excellent writing skills, with a proven ability to deliver high quality written communication and effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
- Demonstrated experience providing highly organised coordination, governance, and administrative support, including the ability to prioritise work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines while delivering quality results.
- Ability to conduct analysis and research and report on findings with the ability to contribute new ideas and identify opportunities for business efficiency improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor staff, encouraging team improvement and promoting professionalism with a willingness to work within a team that places a core emphasis on culture and is highly collaborative.
- Confidence and ability to contribute to the delivery of different election related projects across State Office and perform additional duties or assume responsibility of functions as directed from time to time.

Desirable
- Relevant qualifications in project management, business, public administration or similar.
- Knowledge of, or ability to, quickly gain knowledge of Australia electoral law and practices.
