As an Associate Client Manager, you are responsible for assisting the Group Client Director with the ‘doing’ of the day-to-day operations for your client.

You will work with the client team & specialist teams in Mediacom to ensure the output from Mediacom is of a consistent high quality. You will also ensure we deliver an excellent standard of service and that deadlines are met.

You will be curious, passionate, about your client’s business so as to unearth & develop business challenges into solutions that will drive their business forward.

Expectations of a Business Executive at Mediacom

- ** **Understand your client’s business**
- Have an informed view on far broader elements of the client’s world and not limited to just Media & Advertising. Annual reports, global legislation changes, research, production costs, competitors and technology all play a role in their success
- Know your clients KPI’s and how we can help them to hit these.
- ** **Maintain a consultative relationship**
- Talk to your clients daily. A continuous dialogue is essential to developing the relationship
- Keep the idea of being a trusted advisor front of mind - display a hunger to be actively involved in their world
- ** **Leverage the wider agency**
- Don’t limit your thinking to the immediate client group. Use broader sectors, share knowledge from other groups.
- Use fresh thinking - take the time to develop and share fresh ideas
- Try alternative approaches - just because something didn’t work for one client doesn’t mean it won’t work for another
- ** **Be personal and professional**
- Spend time with your clients both professionally and socially
- Get to know them on a humanistic level
- **Understand your own business**
- Know the Mediacom vision, plan, core skills/specialisms and talents
- Speak intelligently and persuasively about the ambitions and levers we have

- Ensure the day to day runs smoothly, setting and meeting client expectations, managing WIPs, timely communications, offering solutions
- ** **Collaborate**
- Be the lead agency yet establish strong relationships with other agency partners understanding their role within the agency village.
- **Own the process**
- Own the implementation and day to day details in the project workflow ensuring that timelines are adhered to and that the output from the team is consistently of high quality, adhering to the 20|20 process

On any given day, you might

People
- Role model effective communication skills/ practices.
- Work closely with specialisms to ensure you are up to date with their latest offerings and ‘great work’
- Build relationships with client’s and key media suppliers

Product
- Promote the connections planning process and work closely with the CEP team on the creation of unique and insightful channel strategies that meet the client needs
- Work with SBU's to deliver solutions beyond media plans
- Share ‘great work’ examples from the team with the rest of the agency
- Be aware of awards as they arise and identify client campaigns that can be entered with your Group Client Director.

Client
- Contribute to driving the Mediacom Vision
- Assist the Client Leadership team with the day to day tasks that make up the end to end process of systems planning in conjunction with Marketplace/S&P/SBU
- Maintain strong client relationships through best-in-class servicing
- Ensures a high level of face to face interaction
- Participate in both internal and client WIP meetings
- Understand the client’s business, category and market trends
- Ensure junior team members are delivering timely and accurate reporting requirements, providing day to day assistance when required
- Ensure your Group Client Director is aware of reporting requirements and deadlines
- Accountability to client KPI's, deliverables and value delivery.
- Works with Marketplace/S&P/SBU collaboratively to ensure delivery of all metrics.
- Immerse yourself in the client’s world, try their products/services, talk to consumers who have done the same, hot desk from their offices

Commercial
- Be aware of all key client contract commitments; including but not limited to scopes of work to ensure ongoing profitability for the business
- Assist the Group Client Director to accurately manage the client’s and MediaCom’s financial process (e.g. ensure you’re your contributions minimize 90+ day debt)
