Overview:
- Full-time, Continuing position- Salary HEW 7 ($94,838 - $102,657) plus 17% Superannuation- Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, and hybrid ways of working

About You

Reporting to a Manager, Research Contracts, you will play a key role in the development, review and approval of research related contracts and agreements entered into by RMIT University. These contracts are associated with research undertaken by the University with industry partners (and a small number of competitive grants).

In addition to reviewing and critiquing draft research agreements and related documents, you will monitor and recommend improvements to the Research Contracts Team’s business processes, manage internal communications on the contracts function and oversees data integrity matters.

To be successful in this position, you’ll have (in line with the position description):
- Substantial experience in an advisory role, preferably within the higher education sector or an equivalent environment.- Ability to review and critique a wide range of draft funding and general commercial agreements.- Demonstrated ability to work systematically and simultaneously on multiple projects.- Proven ability to pay close attention to detail and produce work that is of a high quality and accuracy.- Demonstrated ability to use initiative, judgement and problem-solving skills.- Excellent communication skills, in particular the ability to advise, influence and negotiate effectively.- A proven track record in providing high quality, customer focussed service.- Demonstrated high level of computer literacy.- Demonstrated history of behaviour aligned to the RMIT values and professional capability framework.
