The role
The Manager, Ethical Standards is responsible for leading the investigations function for the Department of Health and providing high level advice on complex and sensitive integrity related matters, including those that involve corrupt conduct and public interest disclosures.The role is required to liaise and maintain strong relationships with external agencies such as Hospital and Health Services, the Crime and Corruption Commission, Queensland Ombudsman, Office of the Health Ombudsman, Queensland Police Service and the Public Service Commission and represent the department at relevant meetings and forums. The Manager will lead and actively participate in complex investigations and/or reviews, develop and deliver training, and provide advice, direction and support for internal and external investigators and ensure the investigative services provided to the Department are of a high quality and in compliance with necessary requirements. Furthermore, this role is responsible for monitoring investigation outcomes to identify potential or emerging trends requiring intervention and response and supervising and managing staff.
