**About the Service**
- ECTARC Keiraview _is the longest running ECTARC early education and care service and was established in 1987._ The service is in the Wollongong CBD nestled at the end a quiet cul-de-sac with large natural outdoor play spaces. Our central location and extended opening hours are beneficial to many of our families who access the service from across the Illawarra as they work or study nearby. ECTARC Keiraview is a 45-place service for children from birth to school age._
- Our vision at Keiraview is to ensure that our community feels a sense of belonging, being and becoming and that we provide high quality education and care. This can be seen in our everyday practice as we respect the rights of the child and instil a sense of wonder in a play-based learning environment._
- At Keiraview our principles and practices are reflective of an inclusive curriculum encompassing all children, families, educators and the wider community. In accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) we value a holistic approach to each child’s individual learning journey. Our learning environments are purposely designed to support teaching and learning experiences that foster each child’s development. _
- We recognise the importance of mental health and wellbeing for young children and are a Be You learning community, helping children achieve their best possible mental health. We also follow the Circle of Security approach supporting children to feel, safe, secure and respected in addition to implementing a social skills program for preschool aged children._

**About the Role**

An educator’s role is very rewarding, providing children with the best possible start for lifelong learning. You will be working with a dedicated team, families, and the local school and community, including a range of external stakeholders to provide optimum education and care outcomes for young children.

Originally known as Illawarra Area Child Care (IACC) our organisation was incorporated in October 1985 and have a proud history of providing optimum education and training services.

ECTARC is proudly a not-for-profit organisation, that successfully manages education and care services in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven. Our specialist early childhood knowledge, extensive experience and commitment to early education and care for children is why we are a respected leader in the sector. We have a professional, experienced leadership team at our head office who support and resource our ECTARC services to strengthen quality learning and education programs. ECTARC is committed to providing optimum work environments for staff with ongoing professional development opportunities.

**Essential Criteria**
- Must have Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent
- A Working with Children Check clearance number (or be willing to obtain)
- Commitment to working as a team
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of current early childhood theories and practice & children’s services legislation
- 12 months experience working in children’s services
- Current First Aid Certificate
- COVID-19 Vaccination is required by the Public Health Order. Evidence must be provided.
