ASAP Start
Our client is a leading membership association based in St Leonards, they are currently hiring for an Accounts Assistant on a temp basis to start ASAP to support team during a busy period with a backlog of work. The role will be for 1 month minimum but there is potential it will extend for longer than this. It will be starting ASAP so you must be immediately available to start a role to be considered.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Process all supplier invoices (circa. 150-200 invoices per month)
Pay supplier invoices on a timely basis, prepare fortnightly payment batches and issue remittance advice.
Monthly credit card processing and reconciliations.
Daily bank reconciliations
Preparation of month end AR Ageing reports and summaries. Work as directed by the Management Accountant and help Sales and Membership teams with regards to processing and collection of Accounts Receivable.
Assist with the monthly Pay-As-You-Go and quarterly BAS (GST) ATO lodgement.
Assist Management Accountant with month-end task as required.
Ad-hoc tasks as required
**Key Skills / Experience Required**:
2-3 years of experience minimum in a finance/accounting role
Prior experience in AP/AR duties
Experience in using accounting software’s such as Xero, MYOB, Sage etc.
Ability to work within strict deadlines and cut off dates.
Must be immediately available to start a temp role
