**The Opportunity**
The Department’s Property Directorate provides specialist asset, property and land management services related to all government office accommodation; government employee housing; and the extensive portfolio of assets owned by the Department including: transport related road, rail and marine property and commercial, residential, sporting and recreational.

As a Land Tenure Officer, you'll provide a range of specialised tenure and associated services relating to departmental land and properties, particularly road, rail and marine properties. This includes project managing the needs of the Department on land division and road closure.

You’ll liaise and provide advice and services to a range of stakeholders, both internal and external to the Department, including the Crown Solicitor’s Office and other legal practitioners, Licensed Surveyors, Local Government bodies, Lands Titles Office and the general public.

You will also undertake a range of services including determining the needs for cadastral survey, lodging plans of division with the Development Assessment Commission and the Land Titles Office for the Property Directorate.

Your responsibilities will include planning, developing, and evaluating agency programs and projects, as well as resolving complex issues with innovative solutions. You'll undertake critical research, analysis, and reporting, providing expert policy input and advice to management and stakeholders. Additionally, you'll manage information and consultation processes across government agencies.

**About You**
To excel in this role, you'll need knowledge of planning, titling and development procedures, and experience in operating CAD and GIS software. You will also have knowledge of property-related legislation, including but not limited to the _Real Property Act 1886_, _Retail and Commercial Leases Act 1995_, and _Land and Business (Sale and Conveyancing) Act 1994_.

Additionally, you should possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to assist the team in identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies, ensuring the successful implementation of agency programs and projects.

**Special Conditions**

Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.
