Principal Strategic Transport Planner

**$103,625 per annum (Band 7) plus Super *Temporary Full time till July 2024**

**Why do we need you?**

Seeking an experienced strategy and policy writer to prepare a new Transport Strategy for Hume. The strategy will include an ambitious but and realistic transport vision and supporting aspirations for the municipality and individual precincts within it. It will outline the steps and measures that Council will take to realise these over the next 10 years and beyond in its roles as an advocate, decision maker, facilitator and provider as well as indicators to monitor change. The Strategy is to be prepared and informed with extensive community and stakeholder input and strong evidence base, and include indicators to monitor change.

**About You**

As a Principal Strategic Transport Planner who is passionate about delivering high-quality services you will be guided by a Coordinator Planning Policy and supported by a Senior Strategic Transport Planner and team of strategic planners. They will have access to internal and external consultant support and expertise in transport planning, urban planning, engineering, and engagement and communications as required.
The successful applicant is expected to have extensive experience in drafting strategies and policies in transport or related disciplines, and excellent project management and stakeholder liaison skills.
