**What you'll be doing**:
An exciting permanent full time position for a Roster Clerk is currently available within the Mental Health Team, located at Nepean Hospital.

This imperative Administration role will see you coordinate casual nursing and administration staff rosters via data entry into the computerised roster system, ensuring all changes are entered in a prompt, efficient and thorough manner whilst communicating with staff at all levels of the organisation both in person and over the phone.
In this role you will provide high level confidential administrative support to the Mental Health Duty Operations Manager (DOM). As the Roster Clerk you will ensure staffing ratios are accurate on each ward, on each shift, flag problem wards to DOM for direction and clarification and receive "sick leave" unplanned leave telephone calls from staff, ward/unit, teams and managers.

An eligibility list may be created for future vacancies.

**Selection criteria to be addressed**:

- Demonstrated clerical experience, and strong organisational skills with an ability to work under pressure in a busy and demanding environment including the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Demonstrated experience using the Health Roster system or equivalent experience with rostering within a large complex organization.
- Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to organise work priorities, monitor workflow and meet busy work schedules.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team, and to utilise discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Demonstrated computer literacy, accuracy and conciseness in documentation
- Understanding and ability to negotiate to achieve positive outcomes
