**About the opportunity**

We’re looking for a Social Media and Content Creator to join our Communications and Media Team.

The role can be based in our Melbourne, Brisbane, or Hobart office. The role is a full-time ongoing role with hybrid working arrangements.

The Social Media and Content Creator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day proactive and reactive management of our social media channels - creating integrated, dynamic, and engaging social content, supporting community management, social listening, identifying issues and providing expert advice. This role is instrumental in shaping our social media strategy and ensuring alignment with our values and the strategic priorities of the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme.

Some other key responsibilities for this role include:

- creating engaging and dynamic digital and multimedia content to enhance public awareness on social media channels
- developing and implementing tailored communication campaigns to build the profile of Ahpra and the National Boards and promote key projects and initiatives
- providing professional advice and recommendations on social media engagement
- reporting on social insights and providing recommendations and advice that are insight-led and evidence-based
- facilitating training for internal stakeholders on use of social media platforms, and
- ensure continuous improvement of social media by working collaboratively, and in partnership with the Communications and Media Team, internal clients and stakeholders to produce materials aligned with the organisation’s media and social media strategies.

**About you**

You have:

- experience in creating and editing engaging and dynamic digital and multimedia content (eg. videos, graphics, reels)
- a positive, open communication style and collaborate across teams with ease
- strong experience in social media management and working in a complex stakeholder and high-pressure environment often with tight/conflicting deadlines
- good knowledge of social medial landscape across various platforms. Good knowledge of health trade media is preferable but not essential
- experience with managing media sensitive issues, while exercising discretion and sound judgement
- strong track record in providing general communications advice and services, including translating complex information to plain language messaging
- tertiary qualifications in media digital communications or relevant field, or equivalent experience, and
- a thorough understanding of the public affairs landscape across Australia (desired)

The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for health professionals. The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.
