u&u Recruitment Partners is excited to partner with Container Exchange (COEX) to recruit the newly created role - Executive General Manager - Network Delivery.

Container Exchange is appointed by the Queensland government to manage and grow Queensland's container refund scheme - Containers for Change.

Since the launch of the scheme in November 2018, Container Exchange has overseen the creation of significant and meaningful change for the people of Queensland. Container Exchange is proud to be tasked with delivering a state-based scheme that continues to deliver positive social, environmental and economic impacts across the state.

Their not-for-profit status drives investment where it matters to ensure all Queenslanders can access the benefits Containers for Change brings to individuals, charities, community groups and social enterprises across the state.

**Your key responsibilities will be**:
Proactively building a high-performance culture in line with COEX's values;
Ensuring safe, efficient and sustainable operations which ultimately promote the responsible handling and recycling of materials, driving scheme participation and performance, including volume growth;
Strategic leadership and management of all operational activities for COEX (including Container Refund Point Operations, MRF, logistics, equipment, processing etc);
Provide leadership to a team of specialist Regional Managers to provide exceptional service to COEX's operator network, ensuring strong relationships and customer satisfaction and ensuring safety, compliance and contractual requirements are met;
Develop and implement strategies to optimise network performance, minimise operational costs, maximise customer satisfaction, and promote environmentally responsible practices;
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless account handovers and ongoing support for new and existing clients;
Report on network performance, customer satisfaction, and operational insights to the COEX Executive Leadership Team (ELT);
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies focused on health, safety, sustainability and environmental responsibility; and

Coach and develop team members, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence.

**To be considered for this role, you will have**:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in operational roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity. Experience in recycling, environmental, logistics or beverages industry is preferred;
Exceptional contemporary leadership and team management skills including a proven ability to lead remote team members;
A proven track record of managing complex operations and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction, with a focus on environmental responsibility;
Demonstrated track record of driving operational excellence, cost optimisation, and process improvement initiatives;
Exceptional stakeholder management skills, underpinned by a truly collaborative approach and a proven ability to build strong and effective partnerships both internally and with third parties;
Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills including the ability to influence at all levels to achieve required outcomes;
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities;
Sound understanding of WHSE legislation and regulation;
Strong understanding of contracts and contract management; and

Qualifications in Operations Management, Logistics Management, or related field (preferred).
