The Compliance Controller - Qantas Group Flight Training reports to the Senior Manager Change and Programs and manages day to day operations for training equipment compliance monitoring, the CASA oversight program and capital projects, including CAPEX management, across Qantas Group facilities interfacing with group AOCs (Users) on equipment serviceability and performance, thereby ensuring that QF Group has the right equipment in the right location, at the right unit cost, with the right level of CASA certification in a timely manner.

The role is responsible for managing the QGFT change management process, managing project administration, resources and

administering the regulatory compliance programs for qualified flight training equipment. The role manages processes for monitoring operational technical performance and works closely with training managers and CASA in ensuring customer and regulatory requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Develops and maintains standards and processes to improve project estimation and budgeting- Reviews planned project estimates to ensure adherence to standards and processes- Prepare data and insights analysis and provide critical support to Program Manager to ensure effective program of work scoping, planning, risk assessments, budgeting, critical milestone development and comprehensive reporting of programmatic activities- Lead the preparation and delivery of information, data and analytics to support the program.- Analyse data, identify trends and determine insights to support project management activities and decision making- Manages project expenditure through development of accountability measures, reviewing expenses and assessing change requests to ensure overall alignment with procurement strategy- Develop processes to ensure consistency of project expenditure for repeatable project services- Coaches and mentors others in the team to help develop their knowledge and skills- Closely collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure success of projects, programs and change initiatives- Implements continuous improvement operational plans, processes, procedures and practices to ensure safety, quality, budget and time objectives are achieved- Uses mechanisms to track and report on the progress of continuous improvement initiatives in order to monitor success and provide updates- Leads process improvement projects ensuring they are resourced, costs are managed and delivered according to business needs- Maintains own professional development to ensure currency of knowledge in relevant expertise areas- Comply with Corporate and Divisional Service Standards- Comply with the Group management system standard and associated policies in the workplace
