**ADD VALUE - THE ROLE**
We are looking for a Business Improvement Specialist to lead and facilitate improvement initiatives that build a culture of excellence and continuous improvement across Council.
In this role, you will be responsible to:
- Identify and drive organisational performance and process improvement through research and analysis.
- Lead, champion and deploy all business process improvement initiatives, methodologies and toolsets across Council units, and in conjunction with suppliers, to deliver efficiencies and benefits to internal and external customers.
- Support the Manager Organisational Excellence with the delivery of the Voice of the Customer platform, analysis and improvements of process to delivery quality outcomes to our customers.
- Facilitate and support the identification of process and operating efficiencies that directly improve Councils financial operating performance.
- Create and maintain effective mechanisms to review programs, activities, functions and protocols on a regular basis including supporting the service excellence review process and other continuous improvement programs.
- Identify improvement opportunities and manage improvement requests from the business.
- Challenge, coach and guide the Leadership Team and key stakeholders to maximise opportunities from process improvement initiatives.
- Design, develop, refine and embed organisation capability in business improvement principles, techniques, tools, systems and methodologies to ensure appropriate business process, workflow, and ways of working are mapped and benefits captured and reported across all business improvement projects
- Build capability and understanding of organisation excellence, business improvement, the rationale and the principles through knowledge sharing and coaching including providing support to internal customers in use of tools and methodologies.
- Document, monitor and report on business processes, business rules, metrics and standard operating procedures as a result of improvement initiatives.
- Assist in the development of a reporting platform that captures key metrics and data in support of organisation excellence across the organisation.
- Actively participate as a Council representative in relevant meetings, forums and workshops.
This position is offered on a permanent basis working 35 hours per week.
Remuneration for this position is based on Grade 13 of the salary system which equates to a base salary between $94,395 to $106,181 per annum plus superannuation.
