**About the **Grade 5 Instrument**

The instrument technician Electronic Tracking System (ETS) Supervisor will be required to supervise and work alongside a team dedicated to implementing and maintaining our new electronic tracking system (ETS) for reprocessing Reusable Medical Devices (RMD). This system will be introduced over all campuses. They are required to work closely with the ETS program Officer as well as the CSSD NUM/ANUM.

**About the role**
- Demonstrate knowledge and competency in cleaning, disinfecting and sterilizing RMDs in accordance to AS/NZS4187-2014 guidelines.
- Current knowledge and expertise in utilizing Electronic Tracking System (ETS)
- Understanding and knowledge of instrument marking desirable not essential
- Be able to prioritise workload to meet timeframes.
- Be familiar with Policy related to reporting staff injuries.
- Comply with the Code of Conduct and uphold our values, and diversity and inclusion commitments.
- Maintain a safe working environment for yourself, colleagues, and members of the public. Escalate concerns regarding safety, quality, and risk to the appropriate staff member, if unable to rectify yourself
- Experience in quality improvement activities relevant to sterilising department.

**Essential Knowledge and Skills**:

- A commitment to Austin Health values.
- Hold **Certificate** **IV** in Health Sterilization
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in Sterilising Services in a hospital setting.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across all Austin Health teams
- Open and effective communication and engagement
- To be able to work in a team environment.
- Proven ability to work independently

**Desirable but not essential**:

- Previous Grade 5 Instrument Technician Supervisor experience
