he Austin Health Sterilizing Services Department (CSSD) engages in all aspects of decontamination, packaging, sterilizing and storage of re-usable medical devices.

Austin Health Sterilising Services departments are located on two separate campuses.

Austin Campus CSSD provides a service for 11 busy operating rooms, Endoscopy, Hospital wards, which include areas such as ICU, Emergency departments and outpatient clinics

Repatriation Campus CSSD provides a service for 8 busy operating rooms, Endoscopy, wards as well as provide equipment to hospital wards as well as their outpatient clinics.

**About the role**:

- ** An exciting opportunity has be come available for a Grade 2 instrument technician to join our team to implement our new Electronic Tracking System. The applicant must be able to Demonstrate knowledge and competency in cleaning, disinfecting and sterilizing Reusable Mmedical Devices (RMD) in accordance with AS/NZS4187-2014 guidelines..**:

- ** Understanding and knowledge of instrument marking desirable not essential**

**About you**:

- ** Hold Certificate III in Health Sterilization**:

- ** Minimum of 3 months experience in Sterilizing Services in a hospital setting.**:

- ** Work collaboratively with colleagues across all Austin Health teams**:

- ** Open and effective communication and engagement**:

- ** To be able to work in a team environment.**:

- ** Proven ability to work independently**:

- ** Flexible in all shifts including night shift**
