**About the company**
Davidson Technology is currently looking for a Database Administrator to join a reputable organisation responsible for the delivery of retail water supply and wastewater services across five local government areas in Southeast Queensland.

This role is offering an initial 3-month contract with possibility of extension with the office based in the heart of Fortitude Valley, Brisbane

**About the role**
In this role, you will be responsible for driving a culture of continual improvement, focusing on such areas as automation, reporting, tool deployment as well as delivery and implementation of governance best practises to optimise database services to internal and external customers, suppliers, and support teams. You will be an excellent communicator, capability of building relationships at all levels, including outsourced technology service suppliers who support the Lead where required.

**About you**
To be successful for this role, you will be able to demonstrate
Practical database administration in large organisations and across heterogenous platforms such as: Azure, Windows Server, Linux, VMWare and Veeam.
Platform operations monitoring experience, using SolarWinds, including managing configuration and responding to system monitoring events.
Platform automation scripting (PowerShell, T-SQL, PL/SQL, Bash, Puppet, etc).
Extensive database management experience: Oracle and SQL Server.
The ability to resolve complex platform incidents while working independently and in a team.
Adaptability to changing technical, process and organisational environments.
Ability to continuously improve processes & technologies and drive a culture of innovation across the business.
Analysis and problem solving including identifying business requirements and making technical, business and process recommendations
Prioritising workload across multiple ongoing projects and BAU tasks.
Influencing customers and project teams through change management initiatives, ensuring that professional standards are maintained.
Verbal, written, interpersonal, and negotiation skills to effectively communicate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Delivering excellent customer service experiences.

**Management Experience**
Work within a team of technical experts to plan, implement a maintain new platform architecture, aligning with emerging industry best practises.
Work with resources to deliver predetermined objectives as specified by more senior managers (Over 3 years).
Supporting the management of organisational, security and technical risks.

**Benefits**
This role is offering an **hourly range between $80-$90 + Superannuation**, the ability to work closely with senior DBA’s and the option to work hybrid as well.
