Museums Victoria cares for the State scientific and cultural collections, providing visitor access, activities and events at five distinct venues: Melbourne Museum, Immigration Museum, Scienceworks, IMAX Cinema and world heritage listed Royal Exhibition Building.

**ABOUT THE POSITION**:
The primary responsibility of this position is to contribute to the implementation of best practice programs and projects to preserve and develop the Museum's collections, and enable their access in exhibitions, loans, research and public programs, and by external stakeholders. This position sits in the Collection Development and Access team, and works primarily on exhibitions, loans and acquisitions.

The successful applicant will join a friendly, multi-disciplinary team engaged in preventive and remedial conservation of the Museum's collections. Based at Melbourne Museum, you will also have the opportunity to work across other exciting Museum campuses in inner-urban Melbourne.

**NOTABE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Demonstrated expertise related to the management of loans and exhibition production.
- Experience in the remedial conservation and display preparation of items from multi-disciplinary collections.
- Demonstrated knowledge, experience, and expertise in preventive conservation practice.

**OTHER INFORMATION**

This is a Full-time, Fixed-term until 31 January 2025. The salary on offer is $73,842 (pro rata) + 11% superannuation.
