**Job description**:
Our client is currently seeking an APS5 Guidance Officer to join the team within a Federal Government Agency based in the Adelaide CBD.

The Service Guidance and Practice Branch is responsible for presenting Agency policy, improvements, and system enhancements in clear operational guidelines to support the Agency's front line (National Delivery).

This guidance enables front line staff to make consistent decisions and participants to have choice and control over their lives.

The branch also develops content for participants and external stakeholders to support Our Guidelines, including letters, forms, factsheets, and guides to what the Agency does and does not fund.

**Responsibilities may include but are not limited to**:

- Researching, drafting, and updating internal and external guidance with a participant focus that reflects the Agency’s policy positions and meets agency’s plain English and accessibility standards.
- Interpreting the policy and legislative environment the branch operates in, including understanding and translating the Agency Act and Agency Rules into Our Guidelines.
- Developing or updating guidance material in response to participant and external stakeholder feedback.
- Understanding the key stages of the participant pathway, specific participant cohorts and technical processes within SAP CRM and PACE business system requirements.
- Providing service delivery knowledge and advice about procedural guidance, practice implementation and operational matters as needed to support an improved participant experience.
- Contributing to continuous improvement, maintaining best practice and innovation in the branch.
- Managing multiple priorities while maintaining high work standards, governance protocols and accuracy, meeting defined timeframes and performing other duties as requested.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and represent the work area in relation to guidance development.
- Ability to interpret and draft policy and procedural information into clear and easy to understand guidance material.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high work standards and accuracy, meeting defined timeframes, and performing other duties as requested.
- Ability to work under limited direction, guided by policies, accepted standards and precedents.
- Experience working in Confluence platform and JIRA project management tool is desirable.
- ** An understanding of or lived experience in the field of disability is highly desirable.**

This role is at the APS5 level equivalent offering $55.24 per hour + 10.50% super. The rate of pay is casually loaded, as you will not be accruing annual or sick leave.
