**About your role**

We have an opportunity for a Facilities Maintenance Manager with our HQJOC Operations Contract. The purpose of this role is to ensure that the delivery of services provided by the maintenance department meets and complies with all its contractual and regulatory obligations in line with the HQJOC Operations Contract and Downer Defence’s tendered position.

The Facilities Maintenance Manager is responsible for the delivery of the following services in line with the requirements of the HQJOC Operations Contract including:

- General Requirements (various aspects as determined by the Contract Manager)
- Facilities Maintenance Services
- Grounds and Environmental Maintenance Services
- Relocation Services
- Pest Control Services
- Utilities Management Services

You will be responsible for the management of the maintenance department’s legislative and regulatory obligations including plant registration, licences and the management and mitigation of all quality, environmental and WHS risks in line with the Contract Management Plan, the Facilities Management Plans and Downer Defence policies and procedures.

Other key responsibilities will include:

- Responsible for the maintenance department’s compliance, governance and HR activity including subcontract management, recruitment, induction, performance management, injury management, industrial relations & training
- Supporting the Contract Manager, working with and supporting their fellow line managers, and providing guidance, advice, leadership and direction to other HQJOC managers and employees on the matters detailed above

**What you'll be working on**:

- Conduct regular meetings with our Estate Maintenance and Operations Service Managers, to ensure quality outcomes of contracted activities achieving the required KPIs
- Monitor key performance indicators and report on whole of contract performance
- Provide support in the management of specialist subcontractors
- Oversee the management of the Maintenance Schedule
- Lead the implementation and governance of the ISO55001 certified asset management system
- Make recommendations to Defence on Estate performance, useful life and replacement
- Support the Contract Manager in the review and presentation of continuous improvement for all assets on site

**What you'll bring**:
You will have extensive experience in asset management including maintenance planning, delivery, resource management and maintenance engineering analysis.
- At least 10 years’ experience in facility maintenance/management or relevant equivalent experience
- Environmental management experience
- Maintenance Engineering/Planning experience
- Project management experience
- Business management experience including finance, admin, QA and legal competencies
- Experience in information technology
- Experience in Human Resource Management
- Experience in managing WHS risk and governance
- Experience in providing services to Commonwealth departments; and
- Experience in working for large corporate organisations.
- Hold AGSVA NV2 or higher, or willing to obtain.
