**First Nation Pathway Program Traineeship - Cooper Basin**

Programmed Training Services in partnership with Santos are working to create job opportunities for people who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. These opportunities can act as a pathway into our Operations and Maintenance Apprenticeships and Production Operations Traineeship programs, providing an exciting career in the energy sector.

The 12-month traineeships comprise of training, coaching and skills development which includes:

- Safety Knowledge.
- Teamwork.
- Exposure to and working with mechanical, production operators and electrical teams.
- Hands-on skills.** To be successful in the role, you will need to have**:

- Ability to work flexible hours including rosters up to 12 hours per day.
- Ability to complete a Certificate II in Engineering, Electrotechnology or Process Plant Operations
- Completion of year 10 (highly desirable).
- A valid Driver Licence (or ability to acquire licence by the completion of the program).
- Genuine desire to build a career in Oil & Gas

Working across one of Santos’ assets in the Cooper Basin, fly - in fly-out of Adelaide, the traineeships will be a mix of hands-on practical experience and classroom lessons.

The positions are open to those who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander school leavers wanting to start a career in oil and gas to mature-aged people looking to try something new.
