**_ What is the role?_**

The Assets Department at Hume City Council are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join the Technical Services Unit - Contracts & Inspection Team to achieve the best results for the community, in a safe and efficient manner.

**_ Position Objectives:_**
- Supervise Contractors to ensure works are delivered safely and quality standards in accordance with legislative and contract requirements.
- Assist in the inspection and maintenance of Council's roads and footpath infrastructure.
- Assist in the provision of maintenance services in accordance with the Hume Road Management Plan.
- Actively record all maintenance activities on Councils Asset management System
- Provide a high level of customer service and administration for the delivery of asset maintenance works.

**_ About You:_**
- Provide high level of customer service in both verbal and written form.
- Provide administration support with assigning Work Orders to relevant officers or other Council Teams.
- Ability to use a computer - including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Provide administrative support with issuing written correspondence to a range of stakeholders including contractors, ratepayers and service authorities.
- Self-motivated and able to adapt to work requirements.
- Formal qualifications in civil construction or relevant experience in a Local Government environment or similar.
- Demonstrate experience in Contractor's supervision.
- Extensive administrative and customer service experience.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of the Council's Road Management Plan compliance requirements.
- Demonstrate experience in the use of Asset Management Systems.
- Working knowledge of clerical / administrative procedures and standards.
- Current driver's licence.
