**What you'll be doing**

This position manages the development, implementation, evaluation and refinement of activities and initiatives to improve medication safety and therapeutics optimisation of medicines across NSW. This position supports the Medication Safety unit in delivery of the NSW Formulary Committee Secretariat duties, assists with other ancillary projects and/or emerging medication safety issues, and undertakes associated administrative tasks. This position is also responsible for providing expert input into Clinical Excellence Commission (CEC) initiatives and any issues referred to the CEC for comment when required.

**Remuneration**: $119,348.00 - $136,057.00 per annum, plus superannuation
**Hours Per Week**: 40 (38hrs Standard + 2hrs toward ADO)

**Selection Criteria**
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent; with experience, knowledge and demonstrated achievements that enable a sophisticated understanding of formulary decisions and Drug and Therapeutics Committee responsibilities.
- Extensive knowledge of medicines use processes within NSW public hospitals and Quality Use of Medicines principles; and extensive experience, skills and knowledge in medication safety.
- Demonstrated experience in leading large-scale healthcare quality improvement initiatives fostering a systematic collaborative approach to improving patient outcomes, including the management of multiple and concurrent initiatives with conflicting milestones and deadlines.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience developing effective professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders including liaising with and influencing stakeholders to adopt and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- High level verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience drafting complex written documents such as reports, briefs and advice for senior managers.
