**About the role**

We are currently seeking for experienced Civil Technicians and subcontractors to join our expanding team in Sydney Metro areas to deliver the NBN N2P and the BDOD/ODM Projects. If you are a highly skilled civil technician or subcontractor with hunger to make money, then Steercoms is your home.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Previous Telecommunications hauling experience with current qualifications
- Previous experience in Pipe Proving/Scoping for NBN/TELSTRA cable install
- Setting up worksites and traffic management, ensuring the safety of the worksite
- Trenching, concrete cutting and reinstatement, Boring and Grundomat operations
- Installing pit and pipe solutions for the NBN.
- Repairing damaged underground pipes housing telecommunication cables
- Asbestos Pit Replacement
- Removal of non-friable ACM
- Rod & Roping (Pipe proofing)
- Clearing Blockages in Underground Pipes
- hauling different sizes of NBN fibre cables (as well as copper cables)
- locating and exposing buried pits

**Previous experience**
- Previous Telecommunications hauling experience with current qualifications
- Previous experience in Pipe Proving/Scoping for NBN/TELSTRA cable install
- Ability to haul various types of cable types/sizes
- Fibre and Hard-line
- Sound understanding of WHS requirements including WIs, SWMS & Risk Assessments.
- Civil works experience
- At least two years of experience of removing non-friable asbestos
- Evidence of experience of working on non-friable asbestos removal jobs in the last 12 months.

**Skills**
- Competent in reading and interpreting cable designs and install plans
- Concrete cutting and reinstatement
- Ability to read DBYD plans
- Pipe Laying and pit Installation
- Ability to identify, locate and protect underground services
- Ability to operate a Grundomat, jack hammer and other civils equipment
- Ability to use other power tools

**Qualifications and Accreditations**
- Right to Work Australia (Visa sponsorship is available)
- Construction Industry (White) Card
- Enable Card
- Recent Police Clearance (Must be less than 6 months old)
- First Aid & CPR
- Full NSW Driver’s Licence
- CPCCDE3014 (remove non-friable asbestos)
- CPCCDE4008 (supervise asbestos removal)
- RIICCM202D (Identify, locate and protect underground services)
- MSMWHS217 (Gas Test Atmospheres)
- RIIWHS302D- Implement traffic management plan

**Remuneration**
