If you're interested in major infrastructure or planning initiatives or industries like renewables, aerospace and biomedical or major projects like Queen's Wharf Brisbane, then this is the role for you.
The Media Manager leads the team within Strategic Communications managing all media services and activities for the department. They work also work with the Minister's Office, providing vital departmental support.

**The functions include, but are not limited to**:

- developing and delivering all media statements and media opportunities for the department
- media responses and media issues management on contentious issues, including providing high level advice to the department - speech writing for events
- forecasting, evaluating and management of risks associated with the public release of Right to Information documents and reports
- whole of departmental media reporting services
- work with the broader strategic communications team to ensure cohesion when delivering a range of media services to the department.

This role requires a highly skilled specialist with contemporary understanding of the government's needs in the changing media environment.
