About the role - Get paid mine site rates while working in our off-site rebuild facility
Thiess is looking for Diesel Fitters to fill positions at our off-site rebuild facility at Mt Thorley
This role will suit someone looking for a role that is predominately a dayshift Monday to Friday position where they will not be required to travel to or work on a mine site.
**In this role, you will**:
Assist with machine overhauls and component change out
Carry out general repairs and servicing
Carry out the necessary work to ensure equipment is mine-site and MDG15 compliant
About you
All experience levels are encouraged to apply, however, this position will ideally suit someone who has experience maintaining the following machinery:
Caterpillar off-highway trucks
Caterpillar tracked and ancillary equipment
Komatsu tracked equipment
On-highway rigid trucks i.e. Volvo, Hino etc
**You will have**:
Relevant Trade Certificate - Diesel Fitter, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Plant Mechanic or similar
Class 'C' Drivers licence
Post-trade experience working in the mining and heavy earth moving industry
Attention to detail
Experience in general maintenance, diagnosis, component changed outs and servicing of heavy earth moving equipment
Self motivation and a strong work ethic
