About the Opportunity

At Hitachi we are seeking a qualified and motivated Field Service Fitter to join our team. The role will be based in our new state-of-the-art facility in Newcastle.

This will be a Full Time permanent role which offers a 10% field allowance on top of a generous hourly rate.

About the Role

Provide quality customer outcomes through diagnostic, maintenance, and repairs to a wide range of Construction and Mining equipment products.
Conduct all repairs and maintenance jobs in accordance with manufacturer specifications
Completion and submission of all relevant paperwork
Parts receipted for workshop to be tagged or binned to correct workshop
Ensure compliance with company's Environmental Policy, quality standards, and Workplace Health and Safety requirements.

About You

Certificates of Trade - diesel mechanic, heavy vehicle, plant mechanic – light vehicle mechanic considered
Proven mechanical work experience
Understanding and delivering quality outcomes to ensure Total Customer Satisfaction
Safety Commitment - Proactive awareness and total commitment to Hitachi's number one priority - always exercising a high standard of precaution and duty of care to yourself and for others around you
