We are actively seeking to fill the position of an experienced Service Desk Analyst to join the South Australian Department for Education’s System Performance Helpdesk team in a dynamic role that supports preschools, schools, and departmental staff. This role is pivotal in providing accurate and timely information related to data collection, education assessments (e.g., NAPLAN), and reporting products.

**_Role & Responsibilities:_**
- Diagnose, escalate, and track technical hardware and software issues.
- Use available resources to address queries and advise users on appropriate actions.
- Update and adhere to standard help desk procedures; log all interactions.
- Ensure complete resolution of issues through follow-ups.
- Redirect problems to the correct resource, triage to second-level support, and identify urgent situations.
- Document resolutions and track/route problems and requests.
- Undertake system administrative activities supporting education assessments or data collections.
- Identify improvements and prepare reports.

**_Skills & Experience:_**
- NAPLAN experience desirable.
- Strong customer service skills and related experience in help desk support.
- Proven ability in researching, analysing, and interpreting system platform problems.
- Working knowledge of relevant software, hardware, and equipment.
- Initiative and ability to work under broad direction.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong learning, customer service orientation, and problem-solving skills.
- Adaptability, team interaction, and stress tolerance.
- Effective planning, organizing, and attention to detail.

**_Additional Requirements:_**
- Must be able to commence on 15 January 2024.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- Must be available for occasional weekend work.
