IT Security Analyst

**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a highly motivated **IT Security Analyst** to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for protecting our organization’s information and technology assets from evolving cyber threats. You will proactively monitor, detect, and respond to potential security incidents, and contribute to building a strong security culture across the organization.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Monitor security systems (firewalls, intrusion detection, antivirus) for suspicious activities and respond in real-time to potential security breaches.
- Investigate security incidents, assess impact, and take corrective actions to contain, eradicate, and recover from threats.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, recommend security patches, and implement preventive measures.
- Assist in the development and enforcement of information security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Deliver security awareness training to employees and help build a culture of cybersecurity awareness.
- Keep detailed records of security incidents, investigations, and outcomes, and prepare comprehensive security reports for management.
- Stay current with cybersecurity trends and recommend new tools and technologies to strengthen our defenses.
**About You**:
To thrive in this role, you will need to bring a solid foundation in cybersecurity, critical thinking, and the ability to react swiftly to incidents. We’re looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about protecting our information assets.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in IT security or a related role.
- Knowledge of security principles, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability assessments.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+ (preferred).
- Experience with industry standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS Controls.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with incident response procedures and tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work across teams.
- Knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud platforms (e.g., MS Azure) is highly desirable.
Pay: From $98,000.00 per year
