The City invites a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to become a part of our Planning and Economic Development Alliance. As a vital member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in attracting and facilitating investment and activity into Perth city and in reinforcing its role as a livable, sustainable and prosperous capital city. This role allows you to engage and collaborate with a diverse range of critical stakeholders, and lead projects and initiatives across the alliance’s areas of focus including economic development, planning, development approvals and transport and urban design.

**About the Position**

This Economic Development Officer role primarily works with and supports the property sector within Perth city. It aims to deliver investment and growth across the city’s office, retail, and residential property markets by working with key stakeholders such as property owners, leasing agents, developers, State Government, and relevant industry groups.

In your role as the Economic Development Officer, you will support the City by:

- Establishing and maintaining appropriate stakeholder relationships with property owners, industry groups, property managers, and leasing agents within the city across retail, office, and residential markets.
- Identifying opportunities and initiatives that support the growth of the office, retail, and residential property markets within the city.
- Working with the residential development sector to promote and deliver opportunities that support the delivery of the city’s new residential growth targets such as build-to-rent, student accommodation, or co-living.
- Drafting content and coordinating updates for the property and investment attraction aspects of the City website and Investment Profile including maintaining content, updates, statistics, dashboards, and subscriptions.
